Billy Maroon – Head Coach

Billy has been playing Ultimate for 12 years on various Open and Master’s teams in the Philadelphia area. He qualified for the 2010 USA Ultimate Open Club Nationals playing for Southpaw, finishing tied for seventh, and also qualified for USA Ultimate Masters Nationals 6 times. Billy has played in four World Championship Tournaments in the Master’s Division and won the 2011 World Championship of Beach Ultimate on Team USA in the Master’s Division. He has also won the 2011 Grand Masters National Championship playing for the Philadelphia-based team Scrapple.

Len Magargee – Assistant Coach

Len has been playing Ultimate since 2001. Len is passionate about the sport and enjoys continually analyzing the game and developing strategy and skills. He began coaching high school ultimate in 2008 hoping to spread his love of the game with young athletes in the Philadelphia area. He has also coached locally at the college level. Now Len is looking forward to the opportunity to use his experience and passion for the sport to coach at the professional level.

Paul Minecci – Assistant Coach

Paul Minecci began playing Ultimate at the College of William and Mary, and after graduating and moving to Philadelphia, joined Rage in 1993. He captained the team from 1995 until 2000, including two Club Nationals appearances in 1996 and 1998 and two Club Worlds appearances in 1995 and 1997. He went on to play in the Masters division with OLD SAG from 2002 until 2009, winning a championship with them in 2002 and a silver medal at Masters Worlds in 2006. Most recently, Paul won silver with Philadelphia’s Scrapple at Grand Masters Nationals in 2012. Paul has made significant contributions to high school Ultimate in the Philadelphia area and has coached Lower Merion High School’s team since 2005.
